Description
FILAPROP Aspiron TM Polypropylene suture is a monofilament, synthetic non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. The molecular formula of polypropylene is (C3 H6)n. Polypropylene sutures are available in undyed or dyed with phthalocyanine blue form.
FILAPROP Aspiron TM Polypropylene suture is available in a range of gauge sizes and lengths attached to standard stainless steel needles of various types and sizes.
FILAPROP Aspiron TM Polypropylene comply with the requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia for “Non Absorbable Surgical Suture and the European Pharmacopeia for “Sterile Synthetic Non Absorbable monofilament Strand. However, it may be slightly oversize in diameter to U.S.P. for some suture sizes. U.S.P. except for diameter.
Specifications
Composition: Polypropylene
Structure: Monofilament
Mono-filament polypropylene sutures are composed of a single strand of
synthetic material, offering advantages in wound closure. Their smooth,
uniform structure reduces tissue trauma, minimizing the risk of
infection and promoting patient comfort. The non-absorbable nature of
polypropylene ensures long-lasting wound support, and the suture's high
tensile strength makes it suitable for various surgical applications,
providing reliable closure for optimal healing outcomes.
